"So as not to forget" the victims of Linate

On Saturday 8 October 2022, it will be celebrated for the first time in Italy National Day “Lest We Forget”, established by Parliament on the day of the anniversary of Linate air disaster, to remember the victims and raise public awareness regarding transport safety, the centrality of the passenger, respect for human dignity and the value of each individual's life.

  • To commemorate the occasion, the City of Milan, Sea-Milan Airports and “8 October 2001” Committee, in memory of the 118 people who died in that accident, promote a ceremony to be held at 10.00 am in the Bosco dei Faggi in the Forlanini Park.
  • At 19 pm, in the Sala Verdi of the Conservatory of Music “G. Verdi” in Milan (via Conservatorio 12), theSymphony Orchestra of the Conservatory will hold a concert for the anniversary.
