Mr. Roberto is a citizen who has contacted the Service several times. We asked him to tell us his experience of it.

How did you find out about the service?

I had heard about the Service and when I needed it I searched on the Internet for the service that deals with Carers of the Municipality of Milan and I found it. The first time I turned to you dates back to about 3 years ago, when I needed it to assist my mother. I recently turned to WeMi Tate Colf Caregivers again on behalf of a relative of mine.

How long have you been hiring family caregivers?

As for my mother, after a while she had to be admitted to a facility. Last autumn, however, I returned to you for a relative of mine for whom, following your selection, I hired two people who currently work day and night shifts. Having two workers obviously didn't make the process any easier, but in the end they were able to find the right balance.

How do you rate your experience with WeMi Tate Colf Badanti?

The experience was absolutely positive as the family care market is a jungle. I preferred to rely on a Municipality service because I knew that here I could also find greater certainties from a contractual point of view. I appreciated the punctuality with which the profiles were presented to me, and I had the opportunity to evaluate the applications. Furthermore, even when some problems with workers arose, I always found the solution and support from the service.

What aspects would you improve instead?

I think a crucial point concerns citizens' knowledge of the existence of the service. In my own small way, having had a positive experience, I have advised friends and acquaintances to turn to you if they need support for their loved ones.

What were the crucial aspects in choosing the family assistant?

The fundamental aspect is availability on both sides: if we come together everything becomes easier. The family certainly has its own needs, but on the other hand we must not forget that the worker also finds himself faced with complex situations.
