Terz@età, free project for 120 elderly people

The La Comune association offers 120 elderly people from Milan's Municipality 7 a free project to prevent loneliness and physical decay.

The “La Comune” association, with the support of Fondazione di Comunità Milano, offers 120 elderly people from the Forze Armate, San Siro, Quarto Cagnino and Baggio neighborhoods a free project to prevent loneliness and physical decay.

The Covid emergency has strongly highlighted how sedentary lifestyle, loneliness and isolation can produce heavily negative consequences for the health and well-being of older people. This project plans to give support to older people in order to teach them to use some technological tools to try to avoid those situations of sedentary lifestyle and isolation.

Each elderly person will have at their disposal:

  • 1 tablet on loan and lessons to learn how to use it;
  • 1 free medical examination and physical test;
  • 2 hours of gym class per week based on your state of health, done directly from home;
  • a teacher who will monitor the state of health following the weekly training sessions. Participation in the project is totally free.

To participate, simply send an email to Terzoeta@la-comune.com or call the number: 351 2786053
