Ready welcome into the family: training course
Comin and the La Carovana Association organize online training for the Family Ready Reception project. We are looking for families who already have parental experience and who are animated by the desire to welcome a small child (0-3 years) for a limited period of one year.
The Family Welcome Service is designed as an opportunity for children aged 0 to 3 years. It is aimed at families who are motivated to welcome very young children for a maximum period of 12 months. Couples with parental experience can participate, since contact with such a young child stimulates strong affective-emotional attachment dynamics and requires the adults involved to have the ability to bond and separate from the child in a rather short time. Interested families are prepared through a specific training course and a couple's acquaintance journey to verify the feasibility of the project and to plan a possible match.
The foster family is supported by the figure of an educational partner for the entire duration of the foster care project. The educational partner is an educator/pedagogist who offers pedagogical support to the foster family to help them process the ongoing reception experience, accompanies the minor throughout the entire foster care experience, particularly at the time of placement, manages relationships between the minor and his family of origin when present and collaborates with the Services involved in defining and sharing the minor's future plan, respecting both his and his foster family's well-being.
