We are a group of teachers, educators and volunteers from Associations and Cooperatives who, in the Milan area, organize Italian courses for girls, boys and women from various countries around the world.

After the wonderful summer start of Parole in Presenza, we are expanding the group of Volunteers and Language Tutors of the MilanoL2 project.

We are looking for people between 16 and 25 years old available to help those who are learning the Italian language. The idea is to support those who teach during Italian L2 lessons and to organize activities and workshops even outside of the courses.

The period of activity is included between November 2021 and May 2022, with a series of specific proposals in different areas of the city: coaching in language courses for boys and girls, language walks in the city, workshops with migrant women, workshop and aggregation activities.

We are not looking for Italian language teachers, but people who can support those who are learning Italian with their closeness and their advice. No specific skills are needed, but availability and openness, curiosity and inclination to dialogue, interest in meeting people with different histories and cultures, desire to share one's passions and interests.

We think that for tutors this could be a very formative experience: it is an opportunity to learn from those who have stories different from their own, but also to delve deeper into issues related to languages, migrations, cultures and social work.

We are in Quarto Oggiaro (Town Hall 8), in Niguarda, Piazzale Istria and all'Isola (Town Hall 9), in Via Mosso (Town Hall 2) and in via Rimini (MM Romolo) (Town Hall 6).

The commitment we ask for is at least two hours a week, starting from November 2021, with different dates and times, which depend on the individual routes that our network is promoting.

We provide a small training course and some aperitifs together to talk and think together.
