WeMi's insights: Hints of change
Cenni di Cambiamento, the social housing complex that promotes sustainable and collaborative living.
Space WeMi Nods is inserted within Cenni di Cambiamento, a social housing complex in the western area of Milan. It is a large residential project that offers an innovative housing solution based on the culture of sustainable, collaborative and community living.
The structure and architecture of the spaces was created specifically to encourage meetings and relationships between people: it is, in fact, made up of four buildings overlooking an open courtyard, connected to each other by bridges and galleries. Inside the complex there are various sharing spaces, such as the vegetable gardens on the second floor, the living room, ideal for meetings, and the terraces, which offer a glimpse of the mountains when the sky is clear.
Living in Cenni means being part of a small intergenerational and inclusive community, and this was fundamental during the first lockdown, in which good neighborly actions spontaneously arose, from home shopping for the elderly to the outdoor screening on 25 April dedicated to anniversary of the liberation of Italy.
