THEUNICEF, under the patronage of the Municipality of Milan, in collaboration with eQwa and Comin, organizes a training course of two meetings for parents on the topics of financial education and children's well-being, Saturday 30 April and Saturday 7 May, from 10am to 12.45pm , at the UNICEF headquarters in via Marsala 8.

During the two moments we will discover together how fundamental the first years of life of our children are and how important it is that they receive adequate care, correct nutrition, physical stimulation, learning opportunities and protection - elements that define the Nurturing Care Framework developed by UNICEF and the World Health Organization.

Parents and all those who care for children play a very important role in building a positive environment in which children can grow and develop and can acquire specific skills from parents, such as basic notions of financial education and caring for children, represent an important element in building a positive environment.

The project, Parenting & Financial Education, therefore has the objective of offering parents food for thought and tools to support them in their parental role, promoting the psycho-physical development of their children also through management of the family economy based on respect for children's rights.

The training course is divided into: two meetings, of three hours each:

1. SATURDAY 30 APRIL, from 10am to 12.45pm: "why it is important to take care of your family economy and what you need to know to achieve your life goals";

2. Saturday May 7, from 10am to 145pm: "what strategies to adopt to achieve your life goals".

At the end of the two meetings the parents will receive a certificate of attendance and will have the opportunity to continue the journey through free meetings personal support with financial educators who are part of the service offered by the Municipality of Milan to citizens. In fact, the training course is part of the WeMi Financial Education service (https://wemi.comune.milano.it/educazione-finanziaria).

The volunteers of the Milan committee for UNICEF will offer recreational workshops on rights for boys and girls who wish to be present - presence must be communicated via e-mail at the time of registration.
