Milan, May 27 2023 - With a toast of good wishes, the collaboration agreement for the shared care of the garden of the Villapizzone library was signed.

Citizens, associations, neighborhood entities and the Municipality illustrated to citizens the shared project of revitalization of the garden which takes shape in the organization of cultural events, moments of conviviality, opportunities for contact with nature and insights into the topic of green care.

Numerous initiatives enlivened the day of celebration for the signing of the pact: a "Seed Bombs" workshop prepared with earth, clay and seeds to spread flowers everywhere; a collective work of art to give vent to creativity; reading aloud for children. Throughout the day, "Plants in circulation", a green barter stall, with seedlings or cuttings to exchange.

The Bibliogiardino agreement is the result of a participatory process among all the inhabitants of the neighborhood who responded to the call from the Library Management. Last July, with a public notice, Milanese citizens were invited to present proposals aimed at the environmental and social regeneration of public library gardens.

Bibliogiardino is the first of the collaboration agreements thanks to which library gardens will increasingly be a place of culture open to the territory, welcoming and inclusive.
