Study Museum Francesco Messina. Vice versa: from poetry to sculpture

The Studio Museo Francesco Messina was founded by the sculptor in 1974 and became part of the public museum system upon his death. It preserves eighty sculptures and some graphics by Francesco Messina and has hosted contemporary exhibitions since 2014 that transform the institute into a laboratory animated by living artists whose creations enter into dialogue with the works of the permanent exhibition.

Among the sculptors we have hosted in recent years, some have shown themselves to be attentive to poetic research, just like Francesco Messina who wrote and published numerous compositions in verse during his lifetime. For this project we bring together 10 poetry podcasts composed by nine poets for the work of Valerio Righini and Vincenzo Balena who exhibited in our Naturofanie program in 2018.
