Even this year the municipality of Milan on the occasion of Christmas it offers all citizens a widespread exhibition, which starting from the work exhibited at Palazzo Marino it involves all nine Municipalities.
On the occasion of the celebrations for the five hundredth anniversary of the death of Perugino (Pietro Vannucci), the traditional installation in the Alessi Room will be dedicated to the great Master: free guided tours scheduled from 5 December to 14 January, discovering his masterpiece The Baptism of Christ.
Protagonists of the event also the other eight Municipalities, which from 11 December to 5 January will host one opera each in their reference libraries, participating in the large-scale exhibition project, aimed at recounting the theme of childhood and baptism in art.

In the Alessi room a Palazzo Marino will be exposed The Baptism of Christ by Perugino, a fundamental work for understanding the success achieved by the great artist between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. An exceptional setup, designed to tell the public the context in which the work was born and its original destination, through physical and multimedia installations; The Baptism of Christ it was in fact designed to camp in the center of an important polyptych wanted by the friars of Sant'Agostino in Perugia for the main altar of their church.

The Baptism of Christ it is curated by Marco Pierini, Veruska Picchiarelli and Domenico Piraina; promoted by the Municipality of Milan - Culture, sponsored by the Perugino Committee 1523 - 2023, designed by Palazzo Reale, in collaboration with the National Gallery of Umbria, Gallerie d'Italia - Milan and the Libraries and Municipalities Area.
