CHILDREN'S SERVICES AREA
• Planning, coordination and management of educational, didactic and pedagogical activities for the 0-6 year age group (nursery, micro-nursery, family nursery, family time, early childhood centres, playrooms, nursery schools and related contracted structures)
• Promotion, planning, management and monitoring of psycho-pedagogical and professional training/updating of educational staff
• Promotion, orientation and monitoring of educational activities aimed at the cognitive, emotional and social development of children aged 0-6 and, in particular, continuity with primary school
• Promotion, planning and management of initiatives aimed at promoting educational continuity between families, nurseries and
preschools
• Promotion, planning and management of transversal initiatives between other Administration Departments and/or external parties, aimed at promoting child protection
• Management of the accreditation and agreement of structures dedicated to children's services
• Carrying out management activities for the operation of educational services 0-6, including programming
the use and monitoring of assigned resources
• Planning, coordination and management of interventions to support children with disabilities for the area
competence
• Survey and analysis of the needs of the Municipalities for the planning and development of integrated educational services in the territory and related implementation and management
• Analysis and monitoring of the quality process aimed at maintaining certification and promoting innovative interventions for the qualitative development of services
• Planning of the implementation methods of Law 119/2017 regarding vaccination prevention for 0-6 childhood services, also with reference to what is foreseen by the other actors involved (Ministries, Region, ATS)
• Coordination and management of the obligations required by the Ministry of Health and ATS Metropolitan City of Milan in health emergency situations such as those linked to the phenomenon of infectious diseases
• Project activity aimed at implementing the quality and pedagogical innovation of services
 

FOOD POLICY AREA   

• Promotion and management of initiatives for the valorisation of agricultural businesses and agricultural markets; management of contracts and forms of agricultural leasing of municipally owned funds
• Design and development of the Milanese Agricultural District and the AQST Milano Metropoli Rural
• Monitoring of the planning of the new Milan Catering Cooking Center in the SogeMi Foody district, in synergy with the Budget and Participate Management
• Project conception connected to participation in co-financed tenders and their implementation, for the innovation of the
Milanese food system
• Review and management of the service contract for public catering services, in coordination with the Budget and Subsidiary Management
• Planning, management and monitoring of the implementation activities of the Regulations of the City Canteen Commissions and of the Citizen Representation of the Canteen Commissions; management of relationships with the Representation and with the Municipal Representatives regarding the monitoring of the school catering service
• Planning, management and monitoring of inspection visits to the refectories, management rooms, cooking centers and food storage in use by Milano Ristorazione SpA
• Development and promotion of the Food Aid Device for the distribution of aid and shopping vouchers for families in need, in synergy with the third sector and the Welfare and Health Directorate
• Improvement of the distribution systems of food aid relating to the FEAD (EFS+) and the forms of
food support provided by the EU Child Guarantee, also in relation to school canteen fees
• Monitoring, support and development of synergies between the activities developed by the third sector to combat food poverty
• Development and implementation of prevention models, reduction of food waste and redistribution of edible surpluses with the Neighborhood Hubs against food waste, also through the implementation of the Earthshot Prize
• Implementation of Food Policy policies for the promotion of healthy diets, the development of short supply chains, the fight against food poverty and the reduction of food waste through innovation in public services and the involvement of food system actors
• Management of the Secretariat of the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact (MUFPP) and promotion of exchange on policies
food in agreement with the International Relations Area
• Promotion of Milan's participation and leadership within the Eurocities Working Group Food for exchange between European cities, for advocacy towards European institutions and of the C40 Food System Network, in conjunction with the International Relations Area of the Mayor's Cabinet
• Promotion of exchange with Italian and Lombard cities for the analysis of national and regional legislation
• Monitoring and coordination of the protocol for the development of the food policy, in synergy with the Cariplo Foundation
• Promotion of actions to involve public and private stakeholders in the implementation of the Food Policy
• Monitoring and coordination of the implementation projects of the Milan Food Policy
• Monitoring, for the relevant parts, of the Foody 2025 project for the new fruit and vegetable market in synergy with the Budget and Participate Management
• Promotion and development of educational gardens in Milanese schools in synergy with the Green and Environment Department
 

SCHOOL AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES AREA
• Planning, coordination and management of holiday homes
• Planning, coordination and management of supplementary services to the educational offer (pre-post school, centres
summer holidays, educational stays, cultural exchanges, ...)
• Planning, coordination and management of services for the scholastic integration of minors of school age
• Planning, coordination and management of preventive and educational support services for minors of school age (school orientation, teaching and hospital sections, ...)
• Promotion, planning, management and monitoring of initiatives for the psycho-pedagogical updating of educational and training personnel
• Planning, coordination and management of educational initiatives aimed at schools and families on the occasion of major holidays and anniversaries
• Planning, coordination and management of services to support and support educational and teaching activities (school transport, supply of textbooks, educational assistance to students with disabilities, support for projects for school inclusion and the right to study, support for accompanying projects to school for disadvantaged minors, ...)
• Analysis and monitoring of the phenomena of school dropout and evasion from compulsory schooling
• Planning and management of interventions to combat school dropout in relation to compulsory education

• Planning and coordination of initiatives aimed at supporting education and training through the system of contributions, partnerships and access to forms of financing from other bodies and institutions
• Promotion, development and management of relationships with the 75 school autonomies, with the Municipalities, with the Metropolitan City, with the MIUR (Ministry of Education, University and Research), the Regional School Office, the School Office Territorial, etc. as far as the Area is concerned and for the promotion of innovative projects (scuola.mi.it, calls for tenders, central schools, open schools, ...)
• Analysis and monitoring of the quality process aimed at maintaining certification and promoting innovative interventions for the qualitative development of services
• Management of the assignment of public utility services, as well as of the instrumental activities entrusted to
external subjects supporting the Administration, for the scope of competence and management of the related contracts
service, in coordination, in relation to assignments in favor of investee entities, with the Budget and Subsidiary Management
• Management of the School Registry System (ANASCO), in collaboration with the Technological and Digital Innovation Directorate
 

AREA FOR SAFETY MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL OF TERRITORIAL SERVICES    
• Support to the Employer in the detection and monitoring of non-compliance with current legislation on workplace buildings, activation of the consequent corrective measures
• Monitoring the implementation of the instructions given and closing of reports
• Support to the Employer in the obligations prescribed by Legislative Decree 81/2008 for the management of resources assigned for worker safety
• Management of relations with the management responsible for the training activities required by Legislative Decree 81/2008
• Supervision of the adaptation interventions of the buildings, including schools, workplaces assigned to the Management with respect to the implementation of the requirements established by current legislation on health and safety in the workplace, for the purposes of the necessary feedback to be released to the competent Authority
• Support to the competent management regarding the monitoring of properties containing asbestos for the area
of competence, in collaboration with the Asbestos Manager, and supervision of the consequent interventions
• Management and monitoring, in collaboration with ATS, of the activities relating to the Preventive Exercise Communications (CPE) of the social welfare structures belonging to the social network present in the city; consequent possible formalization of requirements, denials and closures of the structures
• Study and definition of innovative methods of provision and/or corrective and/or improvement and regulation of directly or indirectly managed services relating to the Management
• Study and definition of proposals for the revision of the tariff system relating to educational services in collaboration with the interested areas
• Monitoring and control of the quality and correct execution of projects and services managed by private-social entities in the area or provided with internal resources
• Support to the Director

  • in the definition of quality standards and the rules to be followed in controls
  • in monitoring and integrating the activities of all the territorial services of the Directorate, in collaboration with the Area Directors relating to it

• Management and monitoring of the control activities of users' self-certification declarations (ISEE) for access to the educational services of the Education Directorate, including those relating to school catering; debt collection following verification of ISEE self-certifications in coordination with the Collection and Collection Specialist Department
• Management of controls relating to accredited and affiliated childcare facilities
• Verification of the operating requirements and consequent issuing of authorizations to start activities or renew the Spring Sections
• Support and collaboration with the Specialized Collection and Collection Department, for the fight against tax avoidance and evasion
• Logistics management and coordination of educational assets, furnishings and cleaning in educational services in agreement with the competent departments
• Management of the school network of state nursery, primary and lower secondary schools: implementation and supervision of the sizing of state schools of the first cycle of education; supervision of the system of territories of competence (catchment areas); evaluation, in conjunction with the organizational structures of the Urban Regeneration Directorate and with the Technological and Digital Innovation Directorate, of the correct balance between the supply of school spaces and educational demand (network) on an urban scale; logistical management of school assets, supply management and study of functional innovation of school furnishings.
