General provisions

The information published on these pages is continuously updated in accordance with the provisions of Legislative Decree n. 33 of 14 March 2013, relating to “Reorganization of the regulations concerning the obligations of publicity, transparency and dissemination of information by public administrations".

The principle of transparency, understood as total accessibility to information regarding the organization and activity of public administrations, was affirmed by the aforementioned Legislative Decree no. 33/2013, whose objective is to encourage widespread control by citizens over the work of institutions and the use of public resources.

The personal data published in this area for transparency purposes can be reused only under the conditions established by the current regulations on the reuse of public data (Community Directive 2003/98/EC and Legislative Decree 36/2006) in terms compatible with the purposes for which they were collected and recorded, and in compliance with the legislation on the protection of personal data.
It is not permitted to use for marketing or electoral propaganda purposes or in any case for reasons not relevant to transparency the contact details, telephone numbers and email addresses of the staff of the Municipality of Milan and of the holders of political offices or of the exercise of political powers, published in application of Legislative Decree 33/2013. 

The Administration reserves the right to report cases of incorrect use of published data to the Privacy Authority for reasons of transparency.

The publication of data held by public administrations intends to encourage citizen participation for the following purposes:

  • ensure knowledge of the services rendered, the quantitative and qualitative characteristics, as well as the delivery methods,
  • prevent corruption and promote integrity,
  • subject each phase of the performance management cycle to widespread control to enable improvement.
