Full professor of Forensic Medicine, she takes part in scientific investigations in various crime cases, contributing with her work to reconstructing the facts and restoring truth to dark and uncertain situations. Always convinced that forensic science must acquire a social role, in 1995 she founded and still directs Labanof, the Laboratory of Forensic Anthropology and Dentistry of the University of Milan: among its missions is to protect the right to identity, above all of the nameless victims of migratory phenomena, who died at sea in an attempt to reach the European coasts and who are waiting to be recognized and reunited with their families of origin. Thanks to the preparation and knowledge of the scientific committee and the life heritage of its members, it has been a point of reference for parents, families and guardians of people with autism for over thirty years, always in the front row to encourage their full inclusion with innovative educational methods and practices that later proved to be pioneering in Italy. From this point of view, it represents an important stimulus for institutions, pushing them in the direction of a concrete realization of "After us". 
Committed for twelve years also on the social, scholastic and educational side, its mission is to bring theater wherever there is a need and desire to share and grow together, consolidating the sense of community. She participates in and promotes numerous projects of different origins: from activities to spread the pleasure of reading among young people to shows dedicated to environmental sustainability; from the relaunch of less central neighborhoods to cultural and artistic performances dedicated to the elderly, among the people most affected by the pandemic. From food deliveries to the distribution of masks during the pandemic, there are numerous activities put in place for those in need. Also capable of raising his voice to turn on a beacon and shift public attention to those in difficulty, he can count on a vast network of people, men and women of all ages and professions, united by the same values ​​of solidarity and human support. And it does not fail to involve, in the ever concrete initiatives carried out in recent years, companies such as restaurants or supermarkets, capable of contributing actively, perhaps with a hot meal, to restoring human dignity and comfort. 
It was born in 2012, from an idea by Nicole Berlusconi, for the psycho-physical rehabilitation of horses, ponies, donkeys, mules and hinnies, taken into care after cases of abandonment, exploitation, mistreatment, poverty in order to restore dignity, health and well being. Since its founding, it has saved around 500 horses. The project consists of specific programs depending on the conditions, the age of the animal and the environment in which it intervenes, with particular attention to cases in which the horse is the victim of violent owners or close to illegal contexts. He collaborates closely with the police and, in the event of seizures due to mistreatment, takes care of all legal, veterinary and maintenance expenses. Once the animals have been rehabilitated, it guarantees their foster care and adoption. Also active in dissemination in schools and in the training of volunteers.  
For over thirty years it has been carrying out social assistance and promotion activities for the elderly, through a network of indispensable services for a segment of the population no longer completely self-sufficient and in need of home care, accompaniment, daily contacts. With almost a thousand volunteers and more than 11 thousand members, she is the protagonist of many initiatives to support fragility but also the most creative sociality. Among the best known are the University of the Third Age, Grandfather Friend, social tourism and the much-loved art and sewing workshops, where we weave not only precious threads but also bonds of friendship and authentic solidarity. It is among the city realities that have allowed year after year the implementation of the municipal plan against loneliness and for sociability, active every summer from June to September, becoming with its operators a point of reference for many elderly people in the city. 
With their demonstration they told in a civil, powerful and spectacular way, and it couldn't have been otherwise, their determination and desire to return to work soon after a year and a half of lockdown. A closure which, since 23 February 2020, has affected all those who are part of the events and live shows supply chain. Workers, their families and their businesses, professionalism, imagination, courage and talent are hit very hard in these long months of forced interruption. The whole world that revolves around the construction of a live, true economic engine, has for years supported with commitment and talent the image of Milan as a lively, active, contemporary, attractive city, contributing to enriching its cultural life and making it a cultural destination increasingly international. 
The bicycle in Milan was born in 1900 with this shop in Corso Garibaldi 71, which has always been a point of reference for cyclists. The city changes but the activity resists, even when bicycles are banned from circulation because they are deemed dangerous. It goes through the crisis of 1929, the years of the regime and then the bombs of the Second World War. It surpasses the economic boom of the 50s when the bicycle was a necessity and that of the 80s when it was considered decidedly out of fashion. Up to the present day: with the sustainable mobility revolution, citizens' habits are changing and two wheels are an intelligent, practical, healthy choice, perfect on an economic and environmental level. With the aim of being the true fulcrum of the community, capable of animating its everyday life, it gathers around itself the stories of that particular segment of the population, the elderly, who too often risk being forgotten in solitude and abandoned in silence . Even during the pandemic, it placed itself at the center of support actions for vulnerable people.
Born as a private school, it became a civic school in 1960. It subsequently became part of the Civic Schools Foundation and found a home in the prestigious spaces of the former Tobacco Factory. Named in 2016 after Luchino Visconti, in 2018 it obtained authorization from the Ministry to issue qualifications equivalent to a first level degree, at the end of the course in "Art and technology of cinema and audiovisual", with its eight addresses. A great achievement which certifies, also thanks to the continuous ability to innovate, the high level of training provided to students: directors, screenwriters, producers, sound technicians, camera operators, editors, experts in multimedia creations and animation. Today, almost seventy years after its birth, it sees among its graduates many signatures of contemporary cinema, confirming that heritage of knowledge, technique and passion that has given and continues to give a fundamental contribution to the cultural and artistic life of Milan.  
On the morning of October 8, twenty years ago, Milan experienced an unprecedented event, the collision during take-off between a Scandinavian Airlines airliner and a small private jet on the Linate runway. That day 118 people lost their lives. From that day on, the families of the victims, determined to learn the truth of that disaster and in the memory of their loved ones, began a battle for safety at airports. Thanks to their tenacity, many steps are taken in the name of technological innovation and the protection of users and workers. And if this happened, if there are new devices and procedures in Italian airports today, it is thanks to them. The Committee's activity constitutes a strong civic testimony capable of converting a Milanese tragedy into hope and action, pain into public commitment and testimony.  
As head of the emergency room of the San Carlo Hospital and as head of the Emergency Department, she stood out, in the most difficult moments of the pandemic caused by Covid-19, for never having closed the triage and having guaranteed treatment and hospitalization for all citizens Milanese and Lombard. He immediately shared and disseminated the ultrasound technique for the early identification of Covid-19 pneumonia, facilitating rapid and accurate diagnosis of patients. Throughout his career he has contributed to developing new models of reception and diagnosis management, aimed at reducing crowding in places intended for first aid. On the front line in the war on the health emergency, he demonstrates competence and humanity even in the hardest moments, when the infection curve rises and the number of patients reaches critical thresholds, showing, together with his team, the ability to combine care and assistance.  
An institution under international law that has always been committed to assisting the most vulnerable, today present in 120 countries with a network of 13.500 members, 80 thousand volunteers and over 40 thousand professionals, it operates from its headquarters in Milan with an eye always turned to those in need: the sick , people with disabilities, elderly people, teenagers and children in difficulty. The pandemic crisis pushes her to find new forms of commitment and specific humanitarian projects. In the city and throughout the region, it immediately mobilized doctors, nurses and volunteers for support activities, also in collaboration with parishes, social services and the consulates of Peru and El Salvador: from the home shopping and medicine service during the lockdown, then converted into the delivery of vouchers that can be spent in supermarkets, to the transport and accompaniment of the elderly and disabled in case of need, from psychological telephone support to the first medical consultation for foreign communities, thanks to which 1.250 visits were offered in one year.
Delegated councilor of the Eris Foundation which deals with addictions and which looks after 900 people through the clinics and communities present in Milan and in other cities in Lombardy, he shows his constant commitment to the activity of combating the use of drugs and alcohol abuse. Thanks to a support network made up of doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers, he helps many young people and their families deal with psychotropic substance use disorders and alcohol addictions with their harmful effects on the body. In Milan in particular, the Eris Foundation is among those that help drug addicts in the Rogoredo area, offering them comfort and assistance, to the point of offering community treatment. A life dedicated to others, to offer them a new opportunity and escape from the vicious circle of addiction. 
It was 2000 when a group of young pharmacists and pharmacists felt the need to solve the problem of supplying medicines for the needy. This is how the first Pharmaceutical Collection Day was born, during which 15 thousand packages are collected and recovered in Milan alone. Since then the borders have expanded and today the association is present throughout Italy, with the support of around 5 thousand pharmacies, over 17 thousand pharmacists, 22 thousand volunteers and donations from companies. During this year's Day, 468 thousand packages are collected to help thousands of people in difficulty who are cared for by the almost 2 thousand affiliated healthcare institutions. Centrality of the person, education, subsidiarity and professionalism are the four fundamental values ​​through which it also operates at an international level with the sole aim of combating health poverty, responding to the need for medicines of poor people.
“Memory must never stop; this is the message that we want to share with all those who are thirsty for civil conscience and for that fight against indifference that is found in the writing that we encounter as soon as we enter the Memorial, which reminds us of the real enemy that must always be fought: indifference ”. These are the words of President Roberto Jarach that help explain the aims of the Foundation, created to enhance the historical memory of the Jews and the victims of the Nazi and fascist persecution of the last century and to deepen knowledge of the Jewish reality in contrast to every form of anti-Semitism. The Shoah Memorial, built in the area of ​​the Central Station from which twenty railway trains left for the concentration and extermination camps, is in fact a new place in the city, capable of encouraging dialogue and helping in the elaboration of a memory shared, an indispensable cornerstone for orienting the present and building the future. 
The periodical, entirely written by prisoners in the Opera prison, was born eight years ago from the will of the journalist Renzo Magosso who directs it free of charge, supported as Art Director by Carlo Ubezio, historical graphic designer of the Corriere della Sera. The objective is to raise awareness of the reality of the prison world, but also to offer the editors the opportunity to express, evaluate and comment on the various events that happen behind bars. The initiative, in collaboration with the “Leggere Libera-Mente” project, is part of the prison rehabilitation process and receives the prestigious Vergani Award 2014. The Order of Journalists and the Federation of the Italian Press jointly recognize the prisoner-journalists diploma of "Differently free editors", a title never awarded in Italy until now, for the authoritativeness of the publication among those carried out in Italian prisons.

Playing football, but also learning to read and write have thus become a single great life project and a cure for thousands of them, often left alone due to war and poverty in large cities such as Buenos Aires, Rio De Janeiro, Caracas and Mexico City, in small rural villages in Cambodia, Congo, China, in refugee camps in Lebanon, in Bosnia Herzegovina and in Iran, where they met hundreds of local educators, creating a stable and supportive relationship. In Italy, at the San Gerardo hospital in Monza, together with the Letizia Verga Committee, she takes care of the small patients in the pediatric oncohematology department. Many girls and boys around the world united by a single dream: the right to play together and a beautiful Nerazzurri shirt. 
Nicknamed the Angel of the Navigli, thanks to his strong commitment to cleaning the neighborhood, he contributes to keeping the waterways clean by collecting over 750 bicycles, 50 scooters, countless plastic bags, glass, cans and shopping trolleys over the years , car tires and even household appliances. Interested in the environmental cause since he was a child, he is sure that among his most beautiful virtues is precisely the one that encourages love for the environment and its defense. Canoeist and sportsman, the first to have traveled the entire system of Milanese canals, he also founded the Angeli dei Navigli association which involves citizens who want to contribute to keeping Milan's artificial canals clean. With his good example, he encourages others to take care of the common good, convinced that every citizen can be the creator of change.  
Since last May, it has been the name of the first pizzeria in Europe managed by girls and boys with autism, supported by catering and rehabilitation professionals. Even before that, it was a traveling food truck, which arrived in Rome to raise awareness among institutions on the issues of the right to work and social integration. A project that was able to nurture inclusion, build opportunities and give hope, but also trigger an impressive chain of solidarity when, in the initial phase, it was necessary to raise funds and train future employees in real kitchens and restaurants. Thanks to the perseverance and commitment of the founder, Nico Acampora, it today represents a model that can be exported to promote the integration into the world of work of the 600 thousand people in Italy who are affected by this disorder and of many others in the future. 
Since 2013, the date of its foundation, it has represented the point of reference for many second generation Sino-Italian entrepreneurs, a reality that today has more than 160 ordinary members and over 300 supporters. A concrete example of integration in the sign of the most authentic Milanese spirit made of dedication to work and attention to the community, dedicated to building a bridge between cultures. It stands out for its constant commitment to promoting cultural and economic integration between Chinese and Italian realities, in the belief that only mutual knowledge, combined with constant dialogue between entrepreneurs, institutions, neighborhood associations and residents, can lead to commercial development harmonious and respectful of the needs of the City and individual neighborhoods. During the first phase of the pandemic, he demonstrated a great altruistic spirit and attention towards Milan by donating numerous individual safety devices to local institutions and citizens.
