Public Debate

The public debate is a process of civic participation, introduced by the new Procurement Code and specific national guidelines, which aims to inform citizens and stakeholders on the characteristics of large infrastructure projects. The objective is to carry out an informed discussion about the opportunity and methods of carrying out the works, collecting citizens' suggestions in a structured way.

In 2022 the Municipality of Milan has called a Public Debate to discuss the Technical and economic feasibility study relating to the Stadium in Milan, deemed by the Municipality to be of public interest.

In 2018 the Municipality of Milan held a public debate on the project to reopen the Milanese canals. The phases and the final report on the site progettonavigli.comune.milano.it.
