Recruitment and mobility: working in the Municipality

The Municipality of Milan hires permanent and fixed-term staff through different methods, including competitions, public selections, application of the reserve, internships, selection from Milan Employment Centre.

The employment of people with disabilities residing in Milan takes place upon notification by the Information desk of the Employment Mediation Center - CELAV, based on the agreement between the Metropolitan City and the Municipality of Milan, according to three methods:

  • internship aimed at hiring with the possibility of a work grant for candidates selected from those in charge of the Social Services (CELAV) of the Municipality of Milan
  • application of the reserve provided for in the selective procedures pursuant to Law 68/99
  • numerical start-up from the Employment Centres, for qualifications and profiles for which only the compulsory school requirement is required.

Candidates are required to register on the Mandatory Placement lists.

 

The Municipality of Milan periodically announces fixed-term recruitment notices for the needs of the Civic Private Schools, aimed at:

  • formation of rankings of qualified teachers
  • formation of rankings of graduate teachers
  • formation of instructor rankings
  • formation of rankings of qualified and non-qualified graduate personnel
  • formation of rankings of qualified and/or graduated teachers.

Access to public employment occurs in accordance with art. 97 of the Constitution, through a public competition, except in the cases established by law.
The requirements for participating in the selection procedures announced by the Municipality of Milan are expressly indicated in the dedicated selection notice (taking into account the provisions of Presidential Decree 487/1994 and the Offices and Services Regulations in the part containing the "Discipline of access to employment , public selections and other selective procedures").

You can participate in the competition procedures only after registering on the Single recruitment portal. The application for participation must also be submitted via the Portal.
On the Portal, on the selection page, all communications relating to the selection as well as the calendar and results of the tests are published.

Without prejudice to the obligations of publication in the online Notice Board, the notice, the Commission's evaluation criteria, the test tracks and the final rankings updated with the possible scrolling of suitable non-winners are published in the Transparent Administration section of the Municipality of Milan.

The rankings remain valid and usable for the period established by law.

Public Administration employees with more than 5 years of service can request a transfer from their institution to the Municipality of Milan by participating in mobility notices.

These are the types of temporary assignment provided for by current legislation:

  • command
  • detachment
  • protection of parenthood (art. 42-bis Legislative Decree no. 151/01)
  • reunification of a cohabiting spouse of Armed Forces and Police Force personnel transferred by authority to another location (Art. 17 of law 266/1999).

Il training and orientation internship it is a training period that allows you to carry out study and research activities in various areas of expertise, dealing with specific problems that the Municipality faces in its institutional role.

Recent graduates and university students (or enrolled in state and non-state educational institutions that issue qualifications with legal value) can carry out internships or internships (curricular and extra-curricular) also at the Municipality of Milan, for a period of time between 1 and 6 months.
